It all began with one powerful idea, one conviction. When I founded ANKA, mine could be summed up simply: energy has value because of what it makes possible. It is a fundamental driver of local development and business performance. What started as an idea sketched out around a table has, year after year, become an established energy company with complementary areas of expertise and a track record that speaks for itself.
In 2016, Camille André-Bataille founded ANKA in Madagascar with the support of ViMAP. From the outset, the company stood out for its comprehensive, integrated approach, spanning the entire value chain - from design and financing to construction, operations, and support for energy uses - while serving a broad range of markets and customers. For ANKA, energy is never an end in itself: its value lies in what it enables and sets in motion.
This vision - to be Africa's leading reference in energy access and the energy transition - is championed and continuously refined by ANKA's teams →, based in Madagascar. Through their projects, they have developed South-South expertise that is now sought across the continent, bringing it wherever energy is essential to development and competitiveness.
